To stop a Public Health Emergency, Eagle Global Scientific (EGS) puts boots on the ground at the source. EGS is proud and honored to support global public health missions including the SARS-CoV-2, Zika virus, Ebolavirus, and MERS-CoV surge responses both domestically and abroad.

The safety and well-being of our employees is the single most important consideration to EGS during each mission; we developed a Foreign Travel Working Group (FTWG) with extensive experience in global public health expert deployments. Our FTWG is a highly seasoned team that ensures that we provide the most up-to-date travel information to our employees.

EGS uses up-to-the-minute data to maintain the safety and success of our employees. Our FTWG is constantly plugged in to the global community and provides contemporaneous adjustments to mission plans. EGS is committed to leading the deployment of global public health professionals in service to the CDC’s mission.

Our FTWG monitors real-time travel advisories and relies heavily on those offered by the U.S. Department of State travel's advisory page. EGS does not take any time off when employee safety is a concern, and we react to changes in status immediately to protect the welfare of our personnel.

EGS recognizes the importance of providing virtual and telework alternatives for employees as a supplement to the FTWG. Our employee support includes financial and technical support to ensure that deployed employees can fully comply with the requirements of their position in cases of mandatory evacuation from the travel site or mandatory quarantine at the travel site. We provide continuity of care in all aspects of travel, and we prepare for all scenarios.

HIGH THREAT SECURITY AND FOREIGN AFFAIRS COUNTER THREAT TRAINING

In response to evolving threats, the U.S. Department of State has increased required security training to better educate and prepare U.S. Government personnel who are on foreign travel.

For travel of less than 45 cumulative days within a calendar year to any one or combination of high-threat, high-risk/FACT-mandatory countries, EGS travelers must complete the High Threat Security Overseas Seminar (HTSOS) (HT401).

  • 8-module online course (estimated 5-hour duration)

  • Offered on demand

  • Tuition is $55 (company paid)

  • Training completion certificate is valid for 5 years

  • Valid FACT certificate will satisfy HTSOS requirement

CDC’s Can I Eat This? App

CDC’s Can I Eat This? app assists users with the prevention of food and waterborne illnesses. Users select the destination country and answer a few simple questions about planned eating or drinking; the app then offers advices regarding the potential safety of the food and/or beverage. Can I Eat This? offers additional mitigation of risk for personnel while abroad.

CDC’s TravWell App

CDC’s TravWell app helps individuals plan for safe and healthy international travel. TravWell allows the user to build a trip to get destination-specific vaccine recommendations, a checklist of actions to prepare for travel, and a customizable healthy travel packing list. The app also lets you store travel documents, keep a record of your medications and immunizations, and set reminders to get vaccine booster doses or take medicines while you are traveling.
